Nayanthara, who made her acting debut in Malayalam superhit Manassinakkare directed by noted Malayalam filmmaker Sathyan Andikkadu in 2003, is still a key heroine in south Indian film industry.
Though her commercial value as a heroine has come down a bit of late, she is still a hot topic of discussion.
In a recent interview to a television channel, Nayanthara disclosed certain issues linked to her reported relationship with Silambarasan, fondly known as Simbu.
Her revelation about meeting an astrologer on behalf of her long-time boyfriend Simbu, with whom she parted ways later, stirred rumour mills.
The discussions veered around why she remains a spinster despite having many relations in Kollywood.
When she was talking about her breakup with Simbu, she said the astrologer advised her not to marry Simbu as it would cause havoc in her life. But he also prophesied that she could one day become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu if she remained a spinster.
Tamil Nadu, which flaunts its Dravidian culture, has always worshiped heroes and heroines from other states, including MG Ramachandran, Jayalalithaa and Rajnikanth.
If the astrologer’s prediction turns out to be true, Tamil Nadu would get yet another chief minister with a Kerala lineage after MGR.
