What is Deepika Padukone's fav Kerala food? Take a guess

Kochi: Did you know that Deepika Padukone loves our very own ‘puttu?’

The Bollywood star who was in Kochi’s Lulu Mall for the inauguration of a showroom of a Swiss watch brand of which she is the brand ambassador, said she was an ardent fan of Kerala cuisine and that she makes it a point to taste Kerala food whenever she lands here.

“It is so lovely to be back in Kochi, the city that I have come back to so many times. I’ve been coming here since I started working  as a model, I have come here so many times for all my shows, I have shot some movies and ads here and every time I come back, I feel so much love and warmth from all of you”.

The Bollywood beauty expects to be back in Kerala soon, may be for a holiday.

A proud Deepika also shared her feeling on being a women ambassador. When asked if she had faced any challenges being a woman, she said: “I have never considered myself as having any shortcomings because of being a woman. I have always considered myself an equal and that's the way I have been treated or may be that’s the way I look at myself. I don’t think of myself as any less as man”.

Regarding the chances of her taking up a Malayalam project, Deepika said that a lot of movies in Bollywood were inspired from Malyalam movies, and that she may take up a project if it turns appealing to her”.

Talking about social media as a platform for celebrity branding she said, “Social media is definitely giving me an amazing platform to interact with friends, I think it gives me the opportunity to have a one on one interaction. People have written such lovely long letters to me, and thanks to social media, it reaches me directly. I look that as a huge advantage because it gives me direct access to my fans and we are what we are because of the love that we get from our fans.''

Deepika who is all set to enter Hollywood through Vin Deisel's next movie xXx: The Return of Xander Cage expressed her joy on the venture. “I was super excited to work with a new crew full. It was a great experience working with them and I'm looking forward to the release of the movie'', she said.
