In super-hit movie Kadha Pareyumbol, there’s a scene in which actor Ashok Raj, played by Mammooty, remembers his old playmate Balan (Sreenivasan) during a school function where he was invited as the chief guest.
Interestingly, the scene was recreated in real life on Sunday when megastar Mammootty unexpectedly met his old friend Abdul Rahman at Maharaja’s College alumni meet.
Rahman is glad that despite being a busy star, Mammootty recognized him and found time to be there for the event.
Apart from Mammootty, actors Dileep, Tiny Tom, Salim Kumar were also present.
The 'Maharajakeeyam souvenir' was released by Mammootty by handing over a copy to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
