Thiruvananthapuram: After a long gap, actor Jagathy Sreekumar visited a film location on Saturday. Malayalam's evergreen comedy star stayed for nearly an hour as a spectator at the location of Mammootty-starrer 'Utopiayile Rajavu', directed by Kamal.

Jagathy was accompanied by his son Raj Kumar. It was the actor's second visit to a shooting location after the tragic accident in 2012 from which he is still recuperating. His first visit was to the location of Priyadarshan-Mohanlal team's 'Geethanjali'.

Raj Kumar said doctors have advised them to take the actor to locations as it might help speed up his recovery process. Jagathy spent around one hour at the university hostel here watching the shoot.

Earlier in the week, the actor's first public appearance since his accident at an event in St. George College in Erattupetta had caused controversy as actress Sreelakshmi, his daughter from his second wife, unexpectedly ran on to the stage and spent some time with him. She had alleged that Jagathy's elder daughter Parvathy had been stopping her from meeting her father after the accident.

Jagathy, who has acted in at least 1,500 films, had met with an accident in March 2012 at Kozhikode which left him critically injured.

He was hosptialised for a year and is still under treatment. The mishap has kept him away from films.
