Actor Dileep breaks down in public, touched by plight of women pushed into streets

Kallara: Actor Dileep had an emotional encounter on Tuesday during the inauguration of the new building of the rehabilitation centre for women, Snehatheeram in Mithrummala here.

The actor had tough time holding his tears back when sister Roselin Chirayil explained the miseries of mentally unsound women pushed into the streets and the situations under which they get pregnant.

Dileep broke down when he heard that kids aged between 9 months and 12 years came to Snehatheeram with the women from the streets.

Dileep in his inaugural speech said that he was anxiously listening to the words of Snehatheeram's director that the institution's aim was to create a situation whereby no woman will be stranded in the street.

Snehatheeram director Sr. Roselin Chirayil, K.B. Ganesh Kumar MLA, Changanassery archdiocese vicar general Dr. Mani Puthiyidam, district panchayat president V.K. Madhu, Fr. Roy Mathew, Vamanpuram block panchayat president K.P. Chandran, Kallara Panchayat president K. Santhakumar, district panchayat member, S.M. Rosy, Sr. Lissy, actor Kochupreman, among others spoke on the occasion.

Many from serial and film field took part in the function, which also witnessed cultural activities by the members of Snehatheeram.
