Ilayathalapathy Vijay's latest movie Bairavaa relesed on Thursday opened to a tremendous collection at the box office. Reportedly, the movie is likely to beat all Vijay's previous first-day records.
Meanwhile, the movie which was released in 203 theaters in Kerala have increased the number of screens. About 21 more theaters under the film exhibitors federation will be screening Bairavaa. On the release day itself, 30 theaters under the federation had already screened the movie.

Earlier, the Kerala distributor of the Tamil film Bairavaa had warned the protesting theater owners of legal action if they failed to honor their prior agreement.
With this, the exhibitors federation is on the verge of a split. Officials from the Kerala Film Chamber have informed that a new association of theater owners is in the offing. Sources say a meeting will be held and the details of the new association will be announced soon.

The new association will be headed by film technicians and actors who own theatres in Kerala. As of now, 60 A-class theatres from major centers have expressed their wish to be part of the new association, and it will be announced later on as to who else will join it.
