Honey had registered a complaint against Bobby, who also goes by the name Boche, with the Ernakulam Central Police on Tuesday.
In a letter that was posted on social media, Honey thanked the police and the Kerala chief minister for their quick action and support. “These days, one does not require a knife or a gun to kill people. Rather, they can do it easily with uncouth and abusive words. This becomes easier if they have a 'gunda' leader to guide them. My family and I would like to thank the Kerala Police and the Kerala government led by chief minister who stood by me in my fight to protect my rights,” she wrote. A case was registered against Chemmannur under Section 75(4) (sexually coloured remarks) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material through electronic media) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Manorama News reported that Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan spoke to the actor directly about her complaints.
In her complaint, Rose highlighted the sexual harassment she faced during the inauguration of Chemmanur's jewellery store in Alakode, Kannur, on August 7. She further detailed the difficulties she encountered on various platforms following the incident. Cases were also registered against 20 YouTubers.
