Actor Vincy Aloshious known for her ability to perform comedy and intense roles with ease, said she had rejected an offer to act in the Cannes winner 'All We Imagine As Light'. In a recent talk where she reflected about her career, Vincy revealed that she let the film slip out of her hands out of ego, especially since she felt the project was not right for her.
“I rejected the film saying it wasn't the right project for me. Today, the same movie I rejected is being celebrated globally. All We Imagine as Light is a beautiful movie with some amazing performances by Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha among others. I let my ego get the better of me,” she said during the event. She also revealed her strong faith in prayer and said there were times when things did not work out for her in career when she distance herself from faith.
'All We Imagine As Light' received the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. It hit theatres in November last year. The movie and the director Payal Kapadia is in the race for awards at various categories at the Golden Globes, which will be announced at 6.30am, IST on Monday. The movie has also secured spots in BAFTA 2025 longlists.
