Navya Nair was in her prime when she took a sabbatical post her marriage and escaped into a long hibernation. Now she is all set to make a grand comeback to the silver screen through the thriller drama ‘Oruthee’.
KV Abdul Nazar bankrolls the movie for the banner of Benzy Productions. ‘Oruthee’ penned by S Suresh Babu is helmed by veteran filmmaker VK Prakash. Navya plays the role of Radhamani, a native of Vypin, who works as an epannelled conductor in the Kerala Water Transport Department. The movie narrates Radhamani’s ordeal in a span of three days.
Meanwhile, the crew is confident that the common women in Kerala could relate with Radhamani’s life and experiences. The trailer and teaser of ‘Oruthee’ have been garnering great responses from netizens on the social media.
Jimshi Khalid is the cinematographer while editing is by Lijo Paul. The music of the movie is composed jointly by Gopi Sundar and Thakara band.
The songs are penned by Alankode Leelakrishnan, Hari Narayanan and u Manoj. Besides Navya, Vinayakan, Saiju Kurup, Santhosh Keezhatoor, Manu Raj and Chaali Pala play pivotal roles in ‘Oruthee’.
