The premier Indian animation studio Toonz Media headquartered at Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is joining hands with the US-based Tremblay Bros to revive the animation series SWAT-KATS, which was a rage among the 90s kids.

The new series SWAT-KATS Revolution will target 5 to 11-year-olds and will include a slew of new characters apart from the classic protagonists and villains. The new series will also feature a range of futuristic arsenals including new jet fighter planes for the heroes, besides other cutting-edge vehicles and gadgets.

While SWAT-KATS Revolution is a new series, the DNA of what made it successful will remain. The character sketches, the smart and witty writing, the action, the imaginative stories, and the larger-than-life villains will explore themes that the new audience will identify with, says Christian Tremblay .
