Mohanlal’s upcoming film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is one of the most anticipated movies of the star. Not just the actor, but the Priyadarshan film will see an array of stars across the country.
We recently reported that the event Aashirvadathode Lalettan, organised by Aashirvad Cinemas, was held recently at Kochi celebrating the success of Odiyan, Lucifer and Ittymaani Made in China and launching his upcoming movies Marakkar, Empuraan and Barroz.
Along with the launch, the teaser of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham was screened at the event. Many from the event including Roy CJ, the film’s co-producer had shared the glipmse of the teaser on his Facebook account and looks like the movie is going to be masterpiece.
Interesting, yet another video from the event is also doing the rounds where we get to see Prithviraj's response over the same. After the screening, when the hosts Ranjini Haridas and Rajesh asked Prithviraj if he was shocked after watching the teaser, Prithvi mentioned that he was not at all surprised.
“I'm not surprised with the visual spectacle and the sheer aesthetics of the movie because this is Priyadarshan sir's movie. When a director like him is pulling off a movie like this on such a grand scale, you can't expect anything less and as a Priyadarshan fan, this is what I expect from him,” he said.
Further, he added, “The only thing that we need to realize after watching it, is that the footage is that of a Malayalam cinema.”
Thanking Priyadarshan, he stated, “Thank you sir for teaching us to dream big. And I personally want and wish this movie to be a global hit. Only when movies like this get recognition, filmmakers like me get chance to dream big.”
Written and directed by Priyadarshan, the film is touted to be the most expensive film in the history of Malayalam cinema made at an estimated budget of Rs 100 crore.
Marakkar is expected to hit screens by March 2020 simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
