Dileep's well-balanced presentation of Krishnan fetched him applauds and also for choosing a role that was far away from his usual comic role.

Actor Dileep's latest flick, 'Shubharathri', is receiving positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Dileep came live on Facebook on Sunday along with co-actor Siddique and director Vyasan to thank well-wishers and fans.

Talking about the movie, Dileep said: “Shubharathri is a family drama that explores relationships at different levels. I, in fact, enjoyed shooting for this movie as it was too realistic. Muhammed, played by Siddhique, is the major character when my character (Krishnan) carries the plot forward.”

The realistic treatment of the movie touched the actor deep.

“I almost broke down while doing the emotional climax scene of the movie. I didn't want Vyasan to see me teary-eyed. Hence, I acted as if I was having a headache to conceal my emotions,” said Dileep.

The well-balanced presentation of Krishnan won Dileep appreciation from many quarters. He was also lauded for choosing a role that is way out of his comfort zone.
