Actors Dileep and Meera Jasmine were once a hit pair. In fact, Meera Jasmine made her debut in 2001 in the hit Malayalam film 'Soothradharan' starring opposite Dileep. They went on to act in a couple of films and later after marrying Anil John, Meera Jasmine stayed away from the limelight.
And now, the 37 year-old actress was spotted with her once co-star Dileep at a family wedding and the photos are doing the rounds on social media.
According to media reports, Meera Jasmine was in town to attend her sister's wedding and that Dileep too had joined the celebration.
Well, what caught everyone's attention was Meera Jasmine's stunning appearance with slimmed-down look and, trust us, she looked gorgeous in her floral-pink saree.
Meera Jasmine is the fourth of five children of her parents. She has two sisters, Jiby Sara Joseph and Jeny Susan Joseph and two brothers, one of them, George worked as an assistant cinematographer. It was Jeny's wedding and a few from the industry are said to have landed on the occasion.
Recently, popular film-maker Arun Gopi took to his official Facebook page to send out a selfie that was clicked along with Meera Jasmine and fans were delighted to see her. Many even asked her if she was looking for a comeback.
She was last seen in Mollywood in the 2016 film '10 Kalpankal', which was the debut directorial venture of editor Don Max.
Meera Jasmine has always been in controversies. One such instance happened in 2004 when she publicly bashed up her family publicly on a property dispute between them.
In 2006, Meera became good friends with Uppalapu Rajesh, who is the younger brother of the famous Indian mandolin player Uppalapu Srinivas. She revealed this in an interview that she will be marrying Rajesh. But on 9 Feburary 2014, she surprised everyone by getting married to Anil. In fact, Meera’s marriage to Anil had made headlines even before, for all the wrong reasons. The couple got married under controversial circumstances. The Dubai-based software engineer had sought police protection to marry Meera in Trivandrum.
Apparently, Anil had intentions of marrying another girl from Kerala, and had even committed to do so. It was at the last moment that he received the marriage proposal from Meera’s family and had a change of heart. As a consequence of this, the relatives of the estranged girl threatened to disrupt Anil’s wedding, which caused the couple to request for police protection for the Anil Titus-Meera Jasmine wedding.
Meera Jasmine won a National Award for Best Actress for her moving portrayal as 15-year-old Shahina in T V Chandran's 'Paadam onnu: oru vilapam'. The movie dealt with matters of social issues, and won critical acclaim on release and Meera’s captivating performance was looked up by many and she was touted as the next big thing in Malayalam.
On the other hand, actor Dileep was last seen in B Unnikrishnan's 'Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel'. Dileep recently got a relief in a 2017 case related to assault and abduction of an actress in which he is a key accused. The Kerala government told the Supreme Court that it will not press for framing of charges against him before the trial court in the case till his pending plea in the apex court for access to visuals of assault captured by main accused Pulsar Suni is decided. The south Indian actress was abducted and assaulted in a moving car on February 17, 2017. Dileep was arrested in July same year in this connection. He is currently shooting for 'Shubharathri' directed by Vyasan KP.
