The shooting of 'Asuran', the maiden Tamil movie by Mollywood's lady superstar Manju Warrier, has begun. Manju will play the role of Manimekhalai in the movie which also features Tamil superstar Dhanush.
It is said Dhanush will be seen in a double role as Rajadevar (father) and Kali (son).
Rising star Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a cameo role in the movie which will be based on a novel by acclaimed Tamil author Poomani.

Balaji Shakthivel, Pashupathi, Adukalam Naren, Yogi Babu, Thalaivasal Vijay will be seen playing prominent roles.
G V Prakash handles the music while Thalaipuli S Thanu will produce the film.
Dhanush-Vetrimaaran is a hit combo in the industry and the duo has gifted numerous successful movies in the past. Dhanush won the National Award for the Best Actor for his performance in 2001 movie 'Aadukalam' in which he acted along with Vetrimaaran.
