Born on September 25, 1988 in Ernakulam, he is better known with the name, DJ-Bash. “I could only do my formal education till class 10. Since a very young age, I had to take up random jobs to stand on my own feet”, Bashi was quoted by a Malayalam website.
His interest in acting and music helped Bashi get a chance to host a TV show. He was active in modelling as well. Later, he acted in a Malayalam TV serial and even did a few music albums.
Currently, he runs a clothing store in Kochi.
Lucky breaks
On December 21, 2009, he got married to model, DJ & beautician, Suhana, with whom he has a son Muhammad Zaigham and a daughter Sunaina Sunu. Later, he married an entrepreneur, Mashura Mash after an affair.
“My first wife is my best friend. When I got attracted to a second woman, I couldn't hide it from her. I told her everything. Though she was initially a little upset, she understood me and approved my second marriage,” he said.
“Both were love marriages for me. I could have had an extramarital affair like many others hiding everything from my first wife but I didn't want that. I wanted to be honest in relationships. It was with the permission of my first wife that I got married for a second time,” he added.
Activist too
Bashi was part of the team Freakerz of Kochi which staged protests against the Kiss of Love campaign against moral policing in Kerala. Bashi opined that it was the wrong way to protest against this issue.
“I have never seen marriage something as granted. Marriage should be the basis to every relationship in society. That was what I advocated,” he said.
