The actor, who has been regularly going live from his social media account, was recently seen sharing his experience and explaining why the rescue work should be a collective effort.

Actor Tovino Thomas has been engaged in flood relief activities at Irinjalakuda and nearby places in Thrissur district. He has been constantly updating and guiding his fans and followers on social media. He even threw open his house so that the flood-hit can stay there.

The actor, who has been regularly going live from his social media account, was recently seen sharing his experience and explaining why the rescue work should be a collective effort. “Whatever I have done, I consider it as my responsibility. I don't need any special credits just because I am a film actor. I know people who even risked their own lives to save others and some even lost their lives trying to rescue others. This is a crucial time that we are facing and we should stand together and do our best.”

Meanwhile, the rising star in the Malayalam film industry also slammed the fake news and irrelevant negative propaganda on social media. “It would be good if you could refrain yourself from such things at least during this time. Politicising matters, making fun of people in dire straits and blaming others are not needed at this hour," Tovino said.

“Myself and friends have a few health issues after the rescue works. We have done relief works in a very small manner and it is hard to imagine those who have been doing such activities for days. In fact, I feel proud talking about my state. We stand united and we need to come together like this in our coming days as well. Still more needs to be done," he concluded.
