Kochi: Film actor Salim Kumar has pleaded for help as he, along with his family members, has been stranded on the first floor of his house located at Aalammavu junction on the Paravoor– Kodungalloor road. Around 30 people from the locality have also taken refuge in his house and they include many old people.
It was a few days ago that water gushed into the actor’s house. Though he was about to leave the house, the actor decided to stay back as more people came in seeking help. However, by Friday noon, the water level inside the house began to rise rapidly and the ground floor got fully submerged. He stated that if the water level continues to rise, they would have to climb to the terrace, even though there are no stairs to get on the roof.
The actor has phoned his friends and relatives to explain about his plight. “Three other families in the neighborhood too are stranded like this. We can’t even escape by swimming as the there are strong currents in front of my house,” Kumar revealed.
