'Sorry,' said on a fresh theme, makes for a brilliant watch

'Sorry' is such a common and hackneyed term that we habitually use every other occasion with or without enough reasons. At times it can assume deeper connotations, but, never as deep as the short film conceived and directed by Benjith Baby has conveyed. The short has garnered thousands of views on YouTube in a couple of days.

The short movie meanders through an untrodden path of unveiling subtle emotions and human relationships. It deals with a kind of metaphysical harassment that is very common in every nook and corner of our society. Victims often find it hard to take legal recourse for want of solid evidence or witnesses.

Even though the kind of aggression is random in society a well-structured legal framework is yet to take shape in our country.

Benjit portrayed the theme in a taut and engaging script. 'Chapters' fame Krish Kymal has brilliantly absorbed the suspense and thrill of the narrative staged in the backdrop of lively ambiance. Mathukkutty, Benjith Baby, Nayana Anil, Aneesha Ummer and Anto James who portrayed the main characters have executed their role exceedingly well.

Mathukutty deserves a special mention for executing a speckless performance. The short is an arresting work that keeps us glued to it till the climax. Benjith deftly handles a serious subject with an artistic hue and narrates a deep and gripping tale.
