Parvathy recalls her fan girl moment with Anjali Menon

Parvathy is playing one of the lead characters in Anjali Menon's upcoming movie 'Koode'.

Controversies apart, it is an undeniable fact that Parvathi is one of the most prodigious actors in contemporary Malayalam cinema. The poignant characters that she has essayed in a number of films across languages are testimonies.

Even as the steadfast actress is teaming up with ace filmmaker Anjali Menon for the upcoming film 'Koode' she recounted the days when she longed to meet the director prior to the filming of 2014 movie 'Bangalore Days'.

It was after watching Anjali's directorial debut that Parvathy felt the strong desire to work with the script writer-director.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Parvathy recollected how she used to stalk Anjali after watching her 2012 movie 'Manjadikuru'.

"I wanted to get in touch with her to say that I really want to work with you... It happened so that I met her at an airport and I went and introduced myself saying that it was me who kept sending you the emails...and she said 'we were just talking about you yesterday'...and that's how 'Bangalore Days' happened..." (sic) she said.

Talking about the upcoming film 'Koode', the actress said, "When it comes to Anjali I don't even feel like asking for the script...I'm like yeah sure...just give me the part I'll be doing it...I know that I'll be learning a lot in the process...in this film I wanted to assist her but she said no..."

Prithviraj and Nazriya are the other lead actors in the film. Roshan Mathew, Sidharth Menon, Zubin Nazeel Nawas, Darshana Rajendran, Ranjith Balakrishnan, Maala Parvathi and Vijayaraghavan also play significant roles in the film.
