“Hi, I am Samvrutha Sunil...Samvrutha Akhil and I will see you soon”, said the young actress, who was away from the limelight since a long time, at a shooting location.
Dressed in red casuals, Samvrutha was all smiles and excited as the once popular actress of Malayalam film industry was preparing herself to face the camera once again. Yes, you heard it right. Samvrutha is making a comeback but this time on the miniscreen.
Samvrutha will be part of the judging panel for Mazhavil Manorama's brand new show 'Nayika Nayakan' which will commence on May 28. The actress will be accompanied by veteran director Lal Jose in the show.
Onmanorama caught up with the pretty lady with 'Just one question'.
“For about 8 years you were in the industry and once away, what was the one thing that you missed?”
With her beautiful smile, Samvrutha was all happy to answer us. She said, “People often ask me as to why after my marriage to Akhil, I chose to cut off from everything. Why I chose not to be on socials, why no photographs and what exactly I was doing?”
“When I got married, my priority was my family. It was the beginning of a new life. I had no idea how to cook, how to look after my home. And I wanted complete privacy. I just wanted to enjoy the moments.”
“As we shifted to California, not many recognised me. So there I had complete freedom. Talking about what I missed during that time, I think I can't give an honest reply. I was an actor all the time. My friends circle and my home was something I left behind. But since I was in constant touch with all of them, I never felt as if I am far away. But I missed the love from my people, my viewers and my fans.
“My son Agasthya is now 3 years old. My life kind of revolves around him. Thinking about work, I wanted a good opportunity. I was waiting for the right time. Now, when both of them came, I decided to take it up. You will soon get to see me all over again and I hope you will like it.”
Samvrutha was getting ready for the shoot of very first episode of 'Nayika Nayakan'. Before signing off, we made sure to ask her favourite attire and the reply came instantly as 'sari.'
