Tamil movie Dhruva Natchathiram starring Chiyan Vikram in the lead role is one of the most anticipated movies in Tollywood. As per the latest reports Malayali actor Vinayakan will be playing the main antagonist against Vikram in this spy thriller helmed by ace film-maker Gautham Menon.
It was a few trade analysts in Tamil who finally spilled the big news on the film’s hero Vikram’s birthday.
It was earlier reported that young Mollywood superstar Prithviraj was roped in to play the villain in Dhruva Natchathiram. However, the makers zeroed in on Vinayakan who will reportedly appear in a stylish avatar in the movie.
Director Gautham Menon had kept Vinayakan’s role in Dhruva Natchathiram a secret. Meanwhile, in one the pictures shared by Vikram from the sets of Dhruva Natchathiram earlier, Vinayakan too was seen. Noted Tamil critic Rajasekar tweeted that the award winning Malayali actor would be playing the “deadly antagonist in the film”.
Dhruva Natchathiram, which is reportedly influenced from the Bourne franchise, the popular Hollywood spy thriller series, is a big budget movie executed on a big canvas. Vikram will be playing the role of a CIA agent named John and Vinayakan will be essaying the role of Dark Man who is the villain.
The ‘I’ actor will be seen in a salt and pepper look in Dhruva Natchathiram. Ritu Varma plays the female lead while actors like Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthipan, Simran and Radhika Sharathkumar play pivotal roles in the film.
Gautham Menon had initially announced Dhruva Natchathiram with actor Suriya in the lead role. However, the filming of the movie was jeopardized when Suriya backed out of the movie saying that the film had an unfinished script. Later Gautham Menon roped in Chiyaan Vikram to star in this big budget spy thriller. Dhruva Natchathiram is jointly produced by the director himself and Venkat Prabhu under the banners of Ondraga Entertainment and Escape Artist respectively.
