Kaviyoor Ponnamma, who has epitomized the role of a mother along with Mohanlal as a son in many a film, has showered her love and affection towards Pranav Mohanlal, the latter's son who is making waves in the Malayalam film industry with his debut film Aadi.
Though she has been leading a quiet life for some time, she said she will see Pranav's first film in a theater itself.
What strikes you first when you enter Kaviyoor Ponnamma's house named 'Sreepeedam' near Aluva is the family photograph of Mohanlal. And, from this photograph which has Pranav posing with a mischievous smile along with mom Suchitra and dad Mohanlal begins her story of her affection towards Pranav as a grandson.
"Pranav is like a grandson to me. I have seen him like that since he was young. And I have showered him with love and affection since then. When I heard that he is going to act in a film, I was sure that the first film itself will be great. Pranav has proved through Aadi that he has inherited his father's talent. I heard that people talking good things about the film," she said.
"I wish to see new films but don't venture out often. But I will watch Pranav's film. And I wish to see Aadi in a theater. I'm planning to see it soon. He is very talented. Lal is like a son to me, and our relationship is quite old. Hence Pranav's debut and the success of the first film gives me a lot of happiness," she added.
"It is more interesting since he has done the action sequences in the film without the help of a dupe. Since childhood, Pranav's world is filled with adventure. Compared to kids of his age, Pranav is a quiet type. And that is what makes him different," she added.
