Coal India Ltd, a central government undertaking with headquarters in Kolkata,is hiring 640 Management Trainees across engineering fields. Successful candidates will undergo a one-year training period, earning a monthly stipend of ₹50,000–1,60,000. Upon completion, they’ll be appointed with a salary range of ₹60,000–1,80,000. Selection will take place based on the scores of the applicants in GATE 2024 and applications could be submitted till November 28.

Vacancies, eligibility
There are 263 vacancies in Mining; 104 in Mechanical and 91 in Civil sections. Applicants to these posts should have earned an engineering degree in the respective branches with a minimum of 60-percent marks.

In addition, there are 41 vacancies in the System section for which the eligibility is BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) degree with at least 60-percent marks in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/IT or an MCA with any first-class degree.

There are yet another 39 vacancies for E&T trainees and applicants should have a BE / BTech / BSc (Engineering) degree with a minimum of 60-percent marks in the related engineering branch.

Age limit
The upper age limit is 30 years. However, applicants belonging to eligible categories will receive concessions in age as well as marks.

Salary
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000-1,60,000 during the training period and on successful completion of the training, the salary will be Rs 60,000-1,80,000 on appointment, subject to conditions.
