Thiruvananthapuram: Students who appeared for the SSLC (Class 10) examination in Kerala, which is conducted in grade system, can now learn their marks by submitting an application with a specific fee to Pareeksha Bhavan.
The General Education Department had earlier issued an order allowing the Commissioner of Government Examinations to disclose the marks to candidates who submit the application three months after the publication of results. Earlier, the marks were released only three years after the publication of results.
The state government took the new decision after there was an increased demand for marks from students who wished to pursue studies after SSLC in other states and abroad. Several other students applied for marks in order to avail various scholarships and for employment purposes.
As per the order, candidates should submit an application for SSLC marks directly to the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan (office of the Commissioner of Government Examinations) along with a demand draft (DD) for Rs 500 drawn in favour of the Secretary for Examinations three months after the publication of results to obtain their detailed marks.
