Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government will take a decision soon on conducting classes on Saturdays for four-year degree courses. This move comes in response to concerns raised by students that regular holidays could affect academic activities. Since the start of the current academic year, seven to eight holidays have been declared in several districts.

Under the current rules, colleges do not have the authority to conduct additional classes to make up for those missed due to sudden holidays.
