The deadline for submitting applications for admissions to various undergraduate programs including engineering, architecture, medical, agriculture, allied courses, and select special programs at Kerala Agriculture University is set for 5 pm on April 17. Aspiring candidates must register on the 'KEAM-2024 Online Application' portal available on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in before proceeding with the application submission.
Applicants are required to attach several documents to their applications, including the SSLC (Class 10) or equivalent certificate, proof of nativity and date of birth, as well as recent photographs and signatures taken within the last six months. Additionally, other eligibility certificates must be uploaded by 5 pm on April 24.
The results of the Kerala engineering entrance examination are expected to be published before June 20, with the rank lists slated for release by July 20.
Here are some essential points to consider while applying:
Candidates are only required to submit one online application for all courses, and there is no need to send hard copies of the application or documents to the office of CEE (Commissioner for Entrance Examinations)-Kerala.
Application fees vary depending on the course(s) applied for:
- Rs 875 for engineering and BPharm (either or both).
- Rs 625 for architecture, medical, and allied courses (all or each).
- Rs 1,125 for all courses together.
- Reduced fees are applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled categories.
Candidates interested in taking the exam at the centre in Dubai must pay an additional fee of Rs 15,000 online.
For fee waivers and scholarships, candidates belonging to categories other than Scheduled and OEC categories must upload their income certificate.
Seats will be allocated based on reservation norms for admissions to professional colleges in Kerala. The distribution of seats across various government, aided, cost-sharing, self-financing, and autonomous colleges can be found in the prospectus.
Colleges, seats and courses
The breakup of seats in various government, aided, cost-sharing, self-financing and autonomous colleges is given in the prospectus.
Government seats: These seats are allotted by the Entrance Commissioner and are available in all government and aided colleges. The number of seats in government and private self-financing/autonomous institutions will be decided later.
Management quota: The management of aided colleges directly select the students for these seats. The exact number of the seats will be published at the time of submitting options for allotment.

In addition, there are courses under Agricultural, Fisheries and Veterinary universities.
There are 56 branches for engineering / architecture.
The other courses are: MBBS, Dental Surgery, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Pharmacy, BSc (Honours) in Cooperation and Banking / Climate Change and Environmental Sciences and BTech Biotechnology under Kerala Agricultural University.
Eligibility criteria
Engineering: A minimum of 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology in Class 12. There are additional requirements for subjects other than Chemistry.
Medical/Agriculture: A minimum of 50% marks in Biology/Chemistry/Physics in Class 12 for MBBS and BDS. Those who studied Biotechnology instead of Biology also can apply.
An aggregate of 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry and Physics in class 12 is the requirement for Ayurveda, Homoeo, Siddha, Unani, Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Cooperation, Biotechnology (only under Agriculture University) and Climate Change also. Mathematics also is compulsory for admission to the Climate Change programme.
Candidates must have studied Tamil in class 10 or 12 to join Siddha course. For admission to the Unani course, candidates should have the designated score for Urdu/Arabic/Persian in class 10 or 12, or a specified qualification. Students joining the Siddha or Unani course without the knowledge of these languages should have to study them during the first year.
For admission to the Veterinary course, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are required in English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in class 12.
All candidates seeking admissions to Medical, Allied and Agricultural courses have to qualify NEET (UG)-2024.
There are special conditions for candidates who have passed the BSc course.
For BPharm, applicants should have cleared Mathematics or Biology apart from Physics and Chemistry in class 12.
The requirements for BArch admissions are as follows: A pass in class 12 with a total of at least 50-percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or a three-year diploma with Mathematics as a subject with a minimum mark of 50 percent. These applicants need not appear for the entrance exam. However, they should qualify in NATA-2024 before July 31.
All applicants should abide by rules regarding nativity.
Students who have taken class 12 exams this year can also apply.
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit.
NEET rules will apply for medical courses.
VHSE is equivalent to class 12.
Relaxation in marks
Scheduled, backward and differently-abled candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in minimum marks in engineering courses.
Scheduled and backward candidates should have scored at least 40% marks and differently-abled 45% in the specified two subjects for admissions to MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeo, Siddha and Unani.
In courses at Agricultural University, there is a relaxation of 5% marks for backward and differently-abled candidates and scheduled category candidates need only a pass.
The minimum mark is 47.5% for scheduled, backward and differently-abled candidates in Veterinary.
Other points to note
Non-creamy layer certificates should be produced by backward and OEC applicants to be considered for reservation.
Document to prove that the applicant is a Keralite has to be uploaded. There are two categories of non-Keralites.
Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will be considered as Indian citizens. However, they will not be eligible for any reservation.
