The Indian Institute of Technology’s Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) Main session 2 dates were revised as it overlapped with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 exams.
Earlier, the session 2 exams of JEE Main 2024 were scheduled between April 1 to 15. This met a clash as CBSE declared class 12 exams from February 12 to April 12.
Considering the situation, the CBSE has requested NTA to reschedule the second session of JEE Main and urged parents to follow up with NTA. As reported by The Hindu, a CBSE spokesperson advised parents to follow up with NTA while the board will also send a request on the same demand.
As per the revised date sheet, JEE Mains' second session will be conducted after April 3, The Hindu quoted Subodh Singh, the Director General of NTA.
The session one exams of JEE Main 2024 are scheduled to be held between January 24 and February 1, before the commencement of CBSE class 12 exams.
Meanwhile, the CBSE, class 12 Fashion studies exam, originally scheduled for March 11 has been postponed to March 21. The class 10 Tibetan exam, initially set for March 4, has been rescheduled to February 23. The class 10 Retail exam, initially set for February 16, has been moved to February 28.
