The candidates who are bona fide residents and studying in Class 10 during the academic session 2023–24 in one of the government-recognized schools in the district where the educational institution is located are eligible. In all, there will be 100 questions for 100 marks.

For each question, there will be four options. The candidate is required to select the correct answer and darken the corresponding circle of the chosen answer. There are no negative marks for wrong answers.

A candidate has to score the minimum qualifying mark of six out of the total 20 marks in each subject. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in different subjects. It is given in the prospectus how the marks are calculated, i.e., the marks for which all subjects will be considered for each group. A candidate needs to achieve the minimum prescribed marks out of the total marks.

The prospectus can be downloaded from the website, www.navodaya.gov.in. It contains more details, such as the syllabus and the application method. Free assistance will be provided at all Navodaya schools for the submission of the applications.
