The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), an autonomous institution functioning under the Union Ministry of Agriculture, has invited applications for various courses run by it.
Interested candidates can apply online for the one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Health Management (PGDPHM) and the six-month-long Diploma in Plant Health Management (DPHM) until September 30 through the website https://niphm.gov.in.
The courses have 100 percent placements.
PG Diploma in Plant Health Management (PGDPHM)
Those possessing any one of the educational qualifications of B Sc (Agriculture or Horticulture), B Sc in Agriculture & Rural Development, B Tech (Agri Engineering), MSc, or M Sc in Life Sciences Five seats are reserved for B Sc (Chemistry) and PGDPHM with a specialization in pesticide management.
The course fee is Rs 75,000, payable in two installments. The total payment, including other fees and food, works out to be Rs 2.11 lakh. The employees of private organizations have to remit a course fee of Rs 2 lakh.
Diploma in Plant Health Management (DPHM)
The eligibility criteria are the same as those for the PG Diploma. But MSC holders need not apply. The course fee is Rs 40,000; the final payment, though, comes to around Rs 1.12 lakh, which includes other fees and hostel food.
An application fee of Rs 200 needs to be remitted online for both courses. The online written examination will be held on October 16. The selection list will be published on October 20, and the classes will commence on November 1.
