Teachers of the AICTE-approved engineering and polytechnic colleges can submit online applications till March 25 for admission to PhD research or a Master's degree programme as part of the Quality Improvement Programme (QIP).
The QIP was launched to upgrade the expertise of teachers at the AICTE-approved engineering colleges and polytechnic institutes. The QIP centres are at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore, among others. One candidate can apply to up to five institutions or departments.
The admission is for two categories: ME/MTech, 2023 programme and PhD advanced admission for 2023-24 and final admission for 2024-25 period.
The polytechnic regular teachers, who have a bachelor's degree in the appropriate engineering branch and one-year of teaching experience, can apply for the Master's degree programme.
The regular teachers at a degree-level institution, with a Master's degree in the appropriate engineering branch and three years of teaching experience, can apply for the PhD programme.
The application fee is Rs 1,700. The fee is Rs 850 for women applicants, Scheduled Castes/Tribes and persons with disability. The results will be announced in the third week of June.
