New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has further extended the cut-off date for completion of the MBBS internship for the purpose of eligibility for NEET-PG 2023 to August 11.
The decision was taken, considering the special circumstances of over 13,000 MBBS students across five states who won’t become eligible otherwise due to delayed internship, the Ministry clarified. It also fixed the internship eligibility date for NEET-MBD 2023 to June 30, 2023.
The initial direction was that for those who pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) to get admission, they have to complete the internship before March 31. However, the cut-off date was extended to June 30 in the wake of complaints that internships of students in most states would be delayed this time.
It was again revised to August 11, following similar complaints from several states like Bihar.
