Big Q Quiz is back with a bang and that includes a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh for those who come first. You can register for the third season of Malayala Manorama – Santa Monica Big Q Challenge, Kerala's biggest quiz for school students from today. Students of classes 9 to 12 can participate. The registration, which is open till August 31, can only be done through school Heads. The competition will be as a team of two people.
A cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs will be awarded to the team that stands first in the state-level competition. The second prize is Rs 2 lakh, and the third prize is Rs 1 lakh. Prizes of Rs 7000, Rs 5000, and Rs 3000 each will be awarded to the first three runners-up at the district level. Also, there is a trophy and a certificate. The state-level competition will be telecasted on Manorama News Channel. The Big Q Challenge is in collaboration with Santa Monica Study Abroad.

Rules of the BIG Q Quiz
» Students in the 9,10, 11, and 12th-grade classes from all schools in Kerala can participate
» Each school can enter up to 2 teams consisting of 2 members in the district competition.
» If a school has State, CBSE, and ICSE sections, two teams from each section can participate.
» The registration should be done by Headteachers or those who are assigned by them.
» Teachers or students will not be able to directly register
» Those teams who are registered by the school heads can participate in district competition.
» They will send the link of questions for school-level competition to find the team for the district competition.
» The teams who secure first and second place in the district competitions can participate in the state-level competition.
» In addition to the 28 teams selected in this way, the two teams who secured the highest number of points at the district level and placed third can also participate in the state-level competition.
» District level and state level competitions will have various stages including elimination round.
» A prize of Rs.5000 each will be awarded to 3 schools in each district that have the most number of students participating in the school-level competition.
» All participating children get 50% fee waiver on Santa Monica's IELTS/OET/PTE course (only if they join the course within 2 years of Plus 2).
» Family members of employees of Manorama and Santa Monica Group entities cannot participate in the competition.
