Cheemeni (Kannur): Haritha and Harisree are used to doing everything together since they were little girls. They did the same by bagging the first ranks for the Plant Science and Statistics degree examinations conducted by the Kannur University.
Interestingly, the twins scored same marks too.
They are the daughters of Kunjipara natives Shankaran Namboothiri (Hari) and Ushakumari. Haritha and Harisree have a sibling too.
Ever since their primary education at the Kunjipara Government Welfare Upper Primary School, the sisters have been scoring same marks. Both of them even scored A-plus grades of all the subjects in Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination, from Kodakad Kelappaji High School. They then joined Cheemeni Government Higher Secondary School for Plus-Two. They passed the higher secondary by scoring an impressive 94% marks.
History repeated when Haritha scored 95.55% marks and Harisree got 95.56% marks for the degree exams.
They had been in the same class until Plus-Ttwo. However, they weren’t together for degree as Haritha and Harisree chose different subjects, at Nehru College, Kanhandgad.
Principal Dr KV Murali said that the college was extremely proud about the twins’ incredible success.
Haritha and Harisree told Manorama that they hoped to repeat their winning streaks in higher education and future endeavours too.
