Only central syllabus reckoned
The sample survey was conducted on 12 November, 2021, based on the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus. Around 34.01 lakh students from across the country took part in this survey. In all, 85,566 school students from Kerala were part of it. However, criticisms have been raised against the findings in the survey as it considered only the NCERT syllabus.

Many states complain that they have fared poorly in the survey as the regional syllabuses weren’t considered. The Union Ministry of Education has instructed that the concerned authorities should make appropriate interventions and follow–ups based on the findings in the survey.
