New Delhi: The applications for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions to the PG courses in various central universities in the country could be submitted until 18 June. The computer-based entrance test has been scheduled on the last week of July. The test is conducted by the National Testing Agency. University Grants Commission Chairman Jagadesh Kumar said that admission to the PG courses in 43 universities in the country would be based on CUET.

Earlier, a common entrance test was introduced for admission to the degree courses too. Until last year, admission to 12 central universities including Central University of Kerala, Kasargod was based on the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). However, many prominent universities weren’t part of this. The UGC has decided to hold a common entrance test for all the universities as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy.
