THSC on par with SSLC
The academics in technical high schools would be same as classes 8, 9 and 10 in regular schools. However, they have additional courses in technical subjects and practical training too. The Technical High School (THS) certificate is equally valid as the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC). Basic technical training would be provided in the first year. Meanwhile, the students would receive special training in the streams of their choice in the second and third years.
English would mainly be the medium of instruction.
For polytechnic admission, THSC students are provided 10% reservation — around 1,200 seats — in total seats.

The students of classes 8 and 9 can choose an add–on course called ‘Enrich Your English’.
School timings
The school timings are from 9 am to 4.30 pm as more time is required for practical training.
