Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has decided to not rush with offline sessions as schools in Kerala are set to resume regular classes from Monday.
General Education Minister V Sivankutty told media persons here Saturday that for the first week starting Feb 14, classes till grade nine will be held only till noon.
"We will review the situation after a week and then decide on extending the duration of classes till evening," said Sivankutty.
Earlier the government had decided to host classes till evening from Monday. The plan has been changed as "it is better the students are eased into full-time classes".
However, the minister said the emphasis will remain on completing the pending portions on time and to ensure that model exams are held as per schedule.
