Online applications can be submitted for the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) on the website https://www.jest.org.in/ till January 18. The JEST exam is conducted for admission to the PhD, integrated MSc-PhD, and MTech-PhD programmes in physics, theoretical computer science, neuroscience, and computational biology.
The application fee of Rs 800 needs to be remitted online. The fee for women and those in the scheduled categories is Rs 400.
The exam will be conducted on March 13, 2022, at 38 centres, including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi.
The Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences in Nainital, Bose Institute in Kolkata, Homi Bhabha National Institute in Mumbai, International Centre for Theoretical Sciences in Bengaluru, and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research in Kalpakkam, and the seven IISERs, including the one at Thiruvananthapuram, are among the 33 premier institutes that carry out selection based on the score of this test.
