Online applications for the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) conducted by Bengaluru based National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) could be submitted on the website http://univ.tifr.res.in until November 7. The NCBS is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) that comes under the Central Department of Atomic Energy. The two hour long exam has been scheduled at 2.30 pm on December 12 (Sunday). There are many exam centres around the country including at Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.
The admission to some of the best institutes that offer research programs in biology and interdisciplinary life sciences would be held through this entrance exam. Programs
The candidates can seek admission to the PhD programs in all the institutes in the list except the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics. Applications are opened for the integrated MSc – PhD courses in TIFR centres, IISER centres, Bose Institute and National Institute of Biomedical Genomics and also for the MSc courses in the National Brain Research Centre, MSc by research at the Mumbai Department of Biological Sciences and MSc Wild Life at National Centre for Biological Sciences.
