Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the Kerala SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examination held this year will be announced on Wednesday (July 14).

The Kerala Board of Public Examinations will convene a meeting on Tuesday to approve the results.

The results will be declared by Education Minister V Sivankutty at 2pm on Wednesday.

The results will be available online immediately after the official declaration of the results.

The results of THSLC, THSLC (Hearing Impaired), SSLC (Hearing Impaired) and AHSLC exams will also be announced.

The class 10 and 12 board exams were conducted in April 2021 amid the raging pandemic. As many as 4.12 lakh students appeared for the exam.

The State had earlier cancelled the SSLC IT practical examination. The practical exams, earlier scheduled to be conducted in April-May, were postponed after concerns were raised from all quarters.

The paper evaluation of students who took the Kerala SSLC examination was conducted from June 7 to June 25. Higher Secondary and VHSE evaluations were conducted from June 1 to June 19.

The state education department have promoted all students from classes 1 to 9 under the Kerala Board of Public Examinations to the next higher class. The step was taken as it was impractical to conduct the year-end evaluation exercise with the lockdown curbs in place.

The new academic year for classes 1-9 with digital classes began on June 1.
