Why is Atheeth's civil service win special

In the all India civil service examinations, Atheeth Sajeevan, a native of Kovoor, Kozhikode, bagged rank 737. However, what makes his achievement extra special is the fact that, Atheeth has achieved it in the very first chance itself, despite being visually impaired. Atheeth has severe short sight and can hardly see objects far away. He, however, was determined to pursue his dreams and studied with the help of power spectacles.

Atheeth completed his higher secondary education from the Easthill Kendriya Vidyalaya and did BA LLB from National Law School in Bengaluru. He is the only son of K P Sajeevan, who practices as a lawyer in Kodungalloor and Dr Chandni, head of emergency medicine at the medical college.
