A lot happened in the last 365 days

They say, the longer you live the faster time flies. Although a period of 19 years is not that long you can’t help but wonder what it all means.

The year 2018 helped me grow in ways beyond my wildest imagination. I never, in a million years, thought so much would happen over a mere 365 days, but life sure does have an amusing way of proving me wrong.

This year, which at times felt like a never-ending nightmare, sure left me with a lot of mixed emotions. They varied from one that arose while receiving my very first camera to the dread while on the verge of breaking it.

I got to experience so much, meet so many new people, click so many good photos and not to mention spent over half my allowance feeding my expensive taste for all things sweet and delicious to the point of going broke. Through them all, I got to learn what love and heartbreak felt like, what it means to truly ‘be there for someone’, to feel the wind in your hair as you race against the setting sun and my proudest achievement till date, to finish a 50-page term paper overnight while on my sixth round of coffee.

What do I expect in the coming year? I expect it to be exciting and heart-wrenching as the last, to make me question my existence with every breath I take, to teach me how to love fiercely but at the same time knowing when to let go, to smile more and most of all to cherish the time I have because the times at our disposal might just last a second.
