Karicode, Kollam: A science exhibition was held at the TKM College of Arts and Science here. The two-day event was held as part of the college's public education initiative early this week.
Minister V.S. Sunil Kumar, who delivered the introductory speech, stressed on the need to free ourselves from superstitions. He also exhorted students to enlighten themselves by understanding the mysteries of science.
Fifty-three students from different government-aided schools and degree students participated in the camp. The exhibits were judged by the in-charge teachers and students who presented award-winning projects were given mementos and certificates.
Principal S. Shajida, Dr Shahal Hassan Musaliar, Prof A.Hashimudheen, Dr R.Renjith, DrChithra Gopinath and Halifax Musaliar attended the event.
The T K M College of Engineering will be organising an International Conference on Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (ICAME’18) next month. The two-day event will be organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
