New Delhi: South Korean electronic giant Samsung launched Gear VR - its flagship virtual reality (VR) headset - and two variants of the popular Gear S2 smartwatch for Indian consumers that will enable them augment and personalise their entertainment experience like never before.
The Gear VR that requires a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone to work can be bought at Rs.8,200 from all Samsung retail chains and on the e-commerce website Flipkart.
The device is compatible with Galaxy smartphones, including Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge.
Boasting a smart circular design, the Gear S2 smartwatch is available in two different variants - the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic - at Rs.24,300 and Rs.25,800, respectively.

The Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic are the first Samsung smartwatches with circular designs.
The strap options with Gear S2 are Mendini, Warm Grey and Red while with Gear S2 Classic, Grey and Brown leather bands are available.
According to the company, the rotating bezel is a highlight of the new wearable as it will allow users to easily access all required information. The Tizen-based wearable platform that runs on Dual-core1 Ghz processor provides fast and easy scrolling of long emails, calling, texting, shuffle the music tracks and even zoom in/out the maps.
The device has 20-30 customisable watch faces and needles.
The device also works as a fitness trainer through an app called S-Health that assists in gym exercises and coaching for sports like tennis, cricket and golf.
