How Twitterati reacted to the Apple iPhone launch event

As gadget gurus were all set for the Apple iPhone launch where the premier company was expected to announce the launch of its redesigned top-of-the-line phone, Twitterati took a dig at the product's exorbitant prices.

Memes and gifs were all over Twitter to make fun of how people are eager to buy an iPhone, while some showed how they were disinterested in the event as they will never have enough money to buy one.

Apple has sold more than 1.2 billion iPhones over the past decade. The phones comes with a steep price tag crossing the $1,000 threshold.

A decade after then-CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone, Apple launched iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8-plus, as well as a big upgrade to the Apple Watch and a higher-definition Apple TV Tuesday night.
